Big Win For Medical Marijuana in Oakland County Case

Medical Marijuana has been riding a steady wave to full legalization for a while. But as Michiganders, we all know some places still aggressively prosecute Marijuana users. Oakland County is no stranger to coming at marijuana users hard.

Donny Barnes, 41, says he’s been using medical marijuana since he was in a snowboarding accident at 19. During a 2014 drug bust, cops seized his property and shut down his businesses, charging him with possession of over 100 pounds of marijuana.

The case went through a heated trial, and ended (mainly) in Barnes’ favor, shockingly.
