Researchers from the University of New South Wales in Australia claim the video above can induce visual hallucinations without the use of drugs.
Lead researcher Joel Pearson explains:
“We have known for more than 100 years that flickering light can cause almost anyone to experience a hallucination.
However, the unpredictability, complexity and personal nature of these hallucinations make them difficult to measure scientifically.”
The video apparently triggered nearly 100 healthy students to see non-existent pale grey blobs.
