It’s been just over a year since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner revealed that they were calling it quits after 10 years of marriage.
However, the two stars continue to remain close and co-parent their three children, Violet (10), Seraphina (7) and Samuel (4).
Although Affleck and Garner, who are still legally married, tend to keep a low profile, the 44-year-old actor did open up a bit about their parenting experiences while speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of his new movie, The Accountant.
“We do our best. We try our best,” he said of raising their kids as a unit.
Always self-deprecating, Affleck added, “My areas of expertise with the kids [are] spotty at best. Not homework. I only play an accountant in the movie. In real life, I’m badly wanting.”
Earlier this year, Garner shared similar sentiments about parenting with her estranged husband, dubbing them a “modern family.”
“People have been so kind to my whole family, and we really do appreciate it. But, you know what, we’re doing really well. … The kids are great,” she told Savannah Guthrie on The Today Show. “We will make it work.”
