Demi Lovato is not a fan of Taylor Swift‘s brand of feminism.
The 24-year-old singer has previously called out the fellow pop star for failing to speak up about women’s rights, particularly after it was revealed that Swift had paid a portion of Kesha’s legal fees.
And despite the fact that she knows it will “will get [her] in trouble,” Lovato has once again spoken negatively about Swift during an interview with Glamour.
“I think in certain situations, certain people could be doing more if they’re going to claim that as part of their brand,” she said. “To be honest … I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it’s not real.”
The former Disney starlet also voiced her disapproval for Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, which is rumored to be about her feud with Katy Perry.
“I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment,” the “Body Say” singer explained. “We all do things that aren’t, but I have to ask myself, ‘Am I content with calling myself a feminist?’ Yes, because I speak out.”
