Halloweentown Actually Exists and You Can Visit this Fall

If you’re anything like Marnie Piper, then you absolutely adore Halloween.

Now, fans of the DCOM classic Halloweentown can celebrate this spooky season in the best way possible.

This weekend, the city of St. Helens, Oregon, where much of the movie was filmed in the late ’90s, kicked off a month-long celebration in which the local citizens transform the town back into the magical place where Marnie, Grandma Aggie and the others fought the forces of evil.

The event is dubbed ‘The Spirit of Halloweentown,’ and it’s been happening annually for several years.

However, this year is particularly special, as Marnie herself, aka Kimberly J. Brown, will be returning to the town for a special appearance.

In fact, Brown will even help light the giant pumpkin (yes, that giant pumpkin) in the town square this Saturday, October 8.

Here’s the official schedule of all the Halloweentown fun.

Unfortunately, you can’t get there by flying school bus or broomstick just yet, but it would make an excellent road trip destination.
