Courteney Cox Defends Jennifer Aniston Amid Brangelina Divorce

Jennifer Aniston has not addressed the Brangelina breakup, but that hasn’t stopped the people closest to her from commenting.

Following a recent statement from her husband Justin Theroux, Aniston’s former Friends co-star and BFF Courteney Cox has sounded off on the matter.

“I feel like we’re exacerbating it by even talking about it,” Cox told ET at an event on Tuesday.

She also added of her close friend, “It’s not about her.”

While doing press for his new movie The Girl on the Train, Theroux said it was “nonsense” that his wife’s name has been almost constantly in the headlines since Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced their divorce.

“As a child of divorce, all I can say is, that’s terrible news for those children and that’s all you can really say,” he said. “It’s boring to comment on anything else. People are having a bad time – that’s horrible.”

“It’s shocking how much bandwidth things can take up when there are far more important things going on in the world,” the Leftovers star added.
