Just several days after Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, the movie star is reportedly being investigated for child abuse.
TMZ reports that Jolie, Pitt and their children were flying on a private jet last Wednesday (September 14) when Pitt allegedly “got wasted” and became physical and “verbally abusive” with one of their children.
An employee from the tarmac is said to have witnessed Pitt’s erratic behavior when the flight landed, and contacted the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services.
From there, Pitt and Jolie were reportedly interviewed by DCFS, and that LAPD is also apparently looking into the incident.
The divorce documents filed by Jolie on Monday states that their date of separation was Thursday, September 15, which would have been the day after the incident. She also requested full physical custody of their six children.
A source close to Pitt denied that he committed any acts of abuse towards his children.
“He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children,” the insider told People in a statement. “It’s unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light.”
Pitt and Jolie, who have been together since 2004, celebrated their second wedding anniversary last month.
