Did Brad Pitt Cheat on Angelina Jolie with a Co-Star?

After it was revealed earlier today that Angelina Jolie had filed for divorce just five days after separating from Brad Pitt, many began to wonder if it was a specific event that led to their seemingly abrupt split.

Now, rumors are flying that Pitt had been having an affair with his Allied co-star Marion Cotillardand a report from Page Six even alleges that Jolie found out about the relationship after hiring a private investigator.

“She felt that he was fooling around with [Cotillard] on the set, and it turns out, he was. And that was the final straw,” an insider claimed.

Of course, the alleged affair has drawn comparisons to how Pitt and Jolie fell in love on the set of their 2004 movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith, during which time Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

Still, multiple other news outlets have claimed that Brangelina’s divorce had nothing to cheating, despite the fact that Pitt and Cotillard are close.

“Brad and Marion immediately had the utmost respect for each other, so once they delved into their characters, their chemistry was electric,” producer Graham King told People, adding that they “spent a lot of time developing their characters.”

Just hours ago, Pitt said in his first official statement that he and Jolie, who requested full physical custody of their six children upon filing for divorce, will move forward with nothing but their family’s best interests in mind.

“I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids,” he said. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”
