Beginning today (September 15), metro Detroiters will be able to order 55,000 different grocery items from Meijer to be delivered to their homes.
The service, which already launched on the west side of the state, has Meijer partnering up with the smartphone app Shipt, and is available at 25 stores throughout Southeast Michigan.
But what’s the cost of the convenience?
CBS Detroit reports that signing up for the home delivery service will require users to buy a $99 per year (or $14 per month) membership to Shipt. Orders over $35 will have no additional delivery fee, but orders under $35 come with a flat fee of $7.
The service will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and orders will be dropped off within the hour of your choosing by a Shipt shopper.
