Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have been going strong for several months, and in that time, the pop star has only been able to muster up one complaint about her actor boyfriend.
During a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily, the “Rise” singer, who originates from Santa Barbara, revealed that making the trek from her home in Los Angeles to Bloom’s house in Malibu was unbearable at first.
“My boyfriend lives in Malibu and getting used to that [drive] was like, ‘Are you kidding me? What kind of life is this?'” she said.
“There’s no pop-over and I never really got used to Malibu ’cause it’s halfway to Santa Barbara, so I’m always just going to Santa Barbara then,” Perry continued. “I get the whole coming to L.A. and living by the beach thing. But it’s really like, it’s so far, nobody [who lives in town] is going to come see you.”
Thankfully, the distance has not been enough to cause any serious issues between the two, and E! News even previously reported that wedding bells could be in the couple’s future.
“They are in love and happier than ever. [Orlando] would like to get engaged to [Katy] before the year is up,” an insider side last month. “[Marriage and children] is something Katy has always wanted when she met the man she was ready to settle down with.”
