Here’s the Real Reason Rob Kardashian Skipped Kim and Kanye’s Wedding

When Rob Kardashian failed to show up to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s wedding in 2014, many assumed there was drama brewing between the famous family.

Soon afterwards, Rob became totally reclusive, halting his appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and staying entirely out of the public eye for nearly a year.

Now, the 29-year-old Arthur George designer has opened up about that time in his life, and he’s explained exactly why he flew home from Paris right before Kimye’s nuptials two years ago.

“I was doing my suit fittings in Paris right before the wedding and I just wasn’t comfortable,” he said in a recent interview with People. “I’m 6’1″ and at my most I probably weighed 300 lbs.”

“There were cameras at the airport on our trip there and I was very unhappy with the person I saw in all the pictures,” Kardashian continued. “I’m upset I missed my sister’s wedding but it was a personal decision.”

Thankfully, this past January, Kardashian started dating his now-fiancee Blac Chyna, and things really turned around for the reality star. However, before their relationship began, Kris Jenner’s only son says he missed out on a lot.

“The way I dealt with my issues maybe wasn’t the best, but nobody can make me happy but me,” he explained. “Now I want to see everybody in my family every chance I get. You never know what is going to happen tomorrow, and I don’t want to do that to my mom.”

“There were definitely dark days for me, and I’m still not fully happy looking at myself in the mirror,” Kardashian added. “But I’m working towards that. And I’m happy.”
