Black Eyed Peas Re-Release ‘Where is the Love?’ with Justin Timberlake, Usher, More

By Amanda Wicks

“Where is the Love?” It’s a question the Black Eyed Peas asked in 2003 as a response to the political and social issues affecting the world, and it’s one that is still relevant 13 years later. So relevant in fact that will.i.am has gathered an impressive array of artists to re-record the song in the hopes of spreading the message once more.

The updated version of “Where is the Love?” features all kinds of big names from both pop and hip-hop, including Justin Timberlake, Mary J. Blige, The Game, Tori Kelly, Usher, A$AP Rocky, DJ Khaled and more.

In a video shot and shared through ATTN, will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.ap explain why they decided to release a new version. “I remember when the attack in Paris happened,” will.i.am says. “People would say ‘We need ‘Where is the Love’ again.’ And then Belgium happened, and then Turkey, and then Orlando, and then Philando, and Alton before him, and then Dallas. Everyone was calling on us, like, ‘We need that song.'”

The video shows Usher, Justin Timberlake and others singing the chorus. Sales will benefit several charities, including Alton Sterling Fund, Dallas Police Officers and the Philando Castile Fund.
