Zac Efron had to say goodbye to a very close friend this week.
The 28-year-old actor revealed yesterday via social media that his family’s dog Puppy had passed away.
Sharing an adorable photo of the two of them during happier times, Efron wrote an emotional message for his beloved pet.
“Through thick and thin you’ve always been my best friend,” he wrote. “I’ll see you at the finish line, RIP Puppy Efron.”
Through thick and thin you've always been my best friend. I'll see you at the finish line, RIP Puppy Efron. 🙏🏽👼 "Felt hog tied ever since my dog died/ He lived to 84, damn, that's a long ride/ I know he up there he just sit and he wait/ I'll be racing up the stairs I'mma get to the gate singing" 🎶 -Chance the Rapper
The Neighbors star also included lyrics from Chance the Rapper from the song “Finish Line,” part of which read, “I know he up there he just sit and he wait/ I’ll be racing up the stairs I’mma get to the gate singing.”
Rest easy, Puppy. Our thoughts are with Zac and his family during this difficult time.
