We’re only a few days into the Olympics, but Michael Phelps is already responsible for several viral moments.
Along with his 19th gold medal win, and the world wondering about his strange circular bruises, the 31-year-old swimmer was all over the internet again last night after he was seemingly caught glaring at this rival Chad Le Clos prior to the 200-meter butterfly semifinal.
In the clip, Le Clos, who snatched the gold from Phelps during the same event at the 2012 Olympics, can be seen shadow boxing and jumping around as his opponent grumpily looks on.
Naturally, the moment has already inspired a slew of memes, likely becoming the “Not Impressed” face of the 2016 Olympics.
When asked about the situation after the race, Phelps gave a pretty diplomatic answer, saying, “Everyone has their own race strategy. If that’s his, that’s his.”
