Keeping Up with the Kardashians has become such a cornerstone of pop culture, it’s hard to imagine a time when it’s no longer on TV.
However, there’s at least one Kardashian who isn’t dreading that day.
During a recent interview with You Magazine, Kourtney Kardashian revealed that, while she isn’t exactly hoping for the show’s cancellation, she’s also plenty ready for a life without the cameras.
“I don’t want the show to end, but I sometimes think I would be so happy if it did, and I could just move away from it all,” she said. “By the end of every season I’ve had enough, but then once we have had a break I’m ready for more.”
KUWTK, which first debuted in 2007, has certainly showcased very intimate parts of the eldest Kardashian sister’s life, including her tumultuous relationship with Scott Disick and the actual births of her first two children.
Still, despite the constant media attention surrounding her family, the 37-year-old mom-of-three still tends to forget that she’s famous.
“I still feel surprised when I’m recognized in the street,” she admitted. “I forget that so many people know who I am and have seen me give birth.”
So, when the wildly popular E! reality show finally does air its last episode, what will Lourtney do moving forward?
“I love interiors and I’ve pretty much finished my house but my brain is working all the time. I’ll be thinking, ‘Are these the best chairs for this space? Can I do something different with that lighting scheme?'” she explained. “Some day, if I have more time, that’s a passion I’d love to pursue – fixing up another house, showing other people how it’s done.”
