Die Antwoord Refer to Drake as Homophobic Slur on Instagram

Controversial South African group Die Antwoord have launched a homophobic attack on Drake after both acts appeared at Australia’s Future Music Festival.

The incident occurred on the Instagram page belonging to Yolandi Visser, Die Antwoord’s female member. Apparently after seeing Drake’s show, which she referred to as “kak” (slang for excrement), Visser posted a photo of the rapper with the phrase in question.

There is no indication of what prompted the outburst, although Billboard points out that the members of Die Antwoord made a point back in 2011 of explaining why they feel entitled in using the homophobic slur due to the band’s DJ, Hi-Tek, is gay.
