‘Birdman’, ‘Sniper’, ‘Boyhood’ Lead 2015 Oscar Nominations

At a press conference this morning (Jan. 15) in Beverly Hill, Calif., the nominations were announced for the 87th annual Academy Awards.

As expected, American SniperBirdman, and The Theory of Everything were among the films nominated for Best Picture.

Steve Carell and Bradley Cooper were among Best Actor nominees, while names put forth for Best Actress include Julianne Moore and Reese Witherspoon.

Among the Best Original Song nominees are John LegendCommon and country icon Glen Campbell, while films whose scores made the list today include InterstellarMr. Turner and The Grand Budapest Hotel. 

Neil Patrick Harris will host the Oscar ceremony live on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on ABC.
