It looks like the Motor City has started to rub off on Ben Affleck!
The 42-year-old actor, who has been in town while filming Batman vs. Superman, was nominated to do the Ice Bucket Challenge by Tyler Perry and of course he accepted.
Yesterday (August 18), Affleck took to Facebook to post a video that showed him preparing to carry out the challenge to raise awareness for ALS…while he rocked a Detroit City t-shirt!
“I’m gonna take the challenge, I’m also gonna make a donation and I guess I have to pick four other people,” Affleck says. “So my people are going to be folks who I know from first-hand experience look good in a wet t-shirt.”
Affleck then went on to nominate Jimmy Kimmel, Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Damon and “the lady with the bucket” a.k.a. his wife Jennifer Garner, whom he tosses into the pool fully clothed after completing the challenge as their kids laugh in the background.
Meanwhile, The Coop Show has already taken the challenge, and nominated Detroit legend Eminem to do the same! Tweet using the hashtag #987ChallengesEminem and see if we can raise even more awareness for ALS!
