This Rockstar Is Hoping He Lands On Rihanna’s New Album! Find Out Who It Is Here!

Trying to get on Rihanna’s upcoming new album is like trying to win American Idol!  Everybody wants that opportunity.  That’s what big time rockstar Chris Martin had to say about trying to land on RiRi’s next record – I guess she has a lot of options!

The Coldplay singer, who collaborated with Rihanna  on “Princess of China” from 2011′s Mylo Xyloto, recently revealed during an interview with the New York City radio station Fresh 102.7 that he’s trying his hand at writing a song for Rihanna.

“I wasn’t necessarily with [Rihanna in the studio], I was working for her,” Martin said. “I don’t think she even asked, I just said, ‘please can I try something?’”

The two were amazing together.  Let’s take a look back at this collab!

Martin says he still doesn’t know if the song he wrote for her will land on the album, explaining, “She has so many amazing people writing for her. It’s like trying to win ‘American Idol,’ getting a song on Rihanna’s album. It’s hard. Everybody wants to write songs for her.”

He’s also writing material already for the follow up to Coldplay’s Ghost Stories.  I imagine with his split from Gwyneth Paltrow he has a lot to write about. Martin also said he has a song he hopes Rihanna will hop on for that project, too!
