Did THIS Jonas Brother Just Admit To Breaking Up The Band?

Fans were flabbergasted when The Jonas Brothers suddenly canceled their 19-date fall tour last year and announced they were breaking up.

At the time, the group said attributed their abrupt disbandment to a “big disagreement” about the future musical direction of the band, saying it had caused a “deep rift” between them.

Now, one member of the brotherly trio has opened up about their decision to call it quits…and even admitted that he was the one to get the ball rolling!

In a recent interview with MTV News, Nick Jonas explained, “I initiated the conversation because it needed to be had. We just reached a point where we weren’t creating the kind of music that we needed to create to really progress and it wasn’t really healthy in that respect anymore.”

“We’re all going to have our steps towards the future, defining what our next moves are and mine have sort of fallen into place this year with the [DirecTV] show and with the music in a great organic way.”

So will there be a Jo Bros reunion in the future?

“It’s an interesting world where I feel like there is a lot of goodwill towards, um, that happening someday,” Nick said. “I’m not counting it out, it may, someday down the road but for right now my focus really is on what I’m doing and taking this time to try and kill it by myself.”

Meanwhile, Nick Jonas is working on his debut solo record, and released the music video for his first single “Chains” this week. Watch it HERE!
