The online community is currently on high alert after being introduced to Kendall Jones; a 19-year-old Texas cheerleader with a hobby of hunting big game in Africa and posting photos of her kills on social media.
While Facebook has since opted to remove all of the images of her posing next to the carcasses of exotic species, it looks like there’s now a new person that’s causing outrage.
And it just happens to be Steven Spielberg!
Recently, internet funnyman Jay Branscomb decided to post a photo that showed the world famous director posing next to a “dead” triceratops on the set of his hit 1993 movie Jurassic Park
“Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a triceratops he just slaughtered,” he captioned the image. “Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.”
Immediately, people began to comment on the photo in such a manner that seemed as though they thought it was real. One user called him “disgusting” and “inhumane,” while another person wrote, “Disgraceful. No wonder dinosaurs became extinct. Sickos like this kill every last one of them as soon as they are discovered. He should be in prison.”
It’s hard to tell if the commenters are being satirical or serious and honestly, it seems like many are actually the former.
As of now, the photo has over 6,000 comments and 33,500 shares.
And just in case there was any confusion whatsoever: the triceratops went extinct about 66 million years ago…and Steven Spielberg likely didn’t have anything to do with it!
