If you’ve seen Kanye West over the last several years, a highlight — or lowlight, depending — comes when he gives off-the-cuff takes on whatever is on his mind. Some them “rants,” but that makes it seem more emotionally driven and less planned than it might be. Some call them “sermons,” but that makes them seem more ecclesiastical than it might be (then again, there is a Church of Kanye).
Luckily, we can put this debate behind us as the people at Funny or Die have recovered Yeezy’s “real” setlist from Bonnaroo last month.
Turns out, we may be only getting a small piece of the potential Kanye rants on any given night. Who knew that his take on lighting in photos was a possibility? And what does the audience need to do to maybe guide West to a specific rant. Say, you want to hear his take on dog leashes, maybe barking between songs will cue this in his mind.
