Harry Potter fans – your week is about to get a whole lot better!
Despite the fact that she has insisted that she will NOT be penning another Potter novel, author J.K. Rowling has posted a 1,500 word story on her website that details a Hogwarts reunion of sorts, with Harry, Ron and Hermione now in their 30s.
Readers will recognize the gossipy writing style of the article, which is supposed to be penned from the perspective of Daily Prophet writer Rita Skeeter as she details the Quidditch World Cup final.
Likely using her Quick-Quotes Quill, Skeeter notes that Potter is now sporting “threads of silver” in his black hair, as well as a “mysterious scar” on his right cheek which she surmises is from his career as an Auror.
Harry’s wife Ginny is serving as a Quidditch World Cup correspondent and the couple’s two sons James and Albus are also present at the match.
Ron is showing signs of thinning in his red hair while working at the family-owned Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes with his brother George, while Hermione has become deputy head at the Department of Magical Law Enforcement with even more success on the horizon.
Other beloved characters such as Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood also appear in the article and many other juicy details are revealed about what’s taken place in the aftermath of the book series.

The article marks the first time Rowling has written about Harry and his friends since the epilogue in The Deathly Hallows, which was released in 2007.
