Katy Perry has been hit with a lawsuit claiming she misappropriated a song by another artist.

Billboard reports that Perry is being targeted by Christian rappers Flame, LaCrae and John Reilly who are accusing her of using elements of their song “Joyful Noise” in her hit “Dark Horse.”

The lawsuit, which was filed in Michigan federal court, is actually pretty hilarious. Flame (aka Marcus Grey) claims the song was used without his knowledge and is even suing Juicy J, producer Dr. Luke and Capitol Records.

According to The St. Louis Dispatch, the suit also claims that their song has been “irreparably tarnished by its association with the witchcraft, paganism, black magic, and Illuminati imagery evoked by the same music in ‘Dark Horse’.”

Lawsuits like this tend to happen quite a bit in the must industry. Either an artist steals another artist’s song without permission or someone is just trying to get paid… you be the judge.

Listen to Flame’s “Joyful Noise” and see if you can hear the supposed similarities!
