Madonna’s Daughter Lourdes Enrolls In Michigan University – Did She Go Blue Or Green?
Like mother, like daughter!
Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Ciccone Leon has enrolled as a freshman at the University of Michigan, and is slated to start classes this fall in the college’s school of Music, Theatre and Dance, US Weekly reports.
As if to tease Lourdes’s decision, Madonna took to Instagram yesterday (June 24) to post a photo of Ann Arbor’s The M Den, writing, “I think ill stop in here!”
Lourdes, who also goes by ‘Lola,’ is the daughter of Madonna and her ex Carlos Leon, and is graduating from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City, so the move to the Ann Arbor, Michigan will certainly be a big transition for her.
However, it seems as though the budding artist is ready for a change!
“So many things that have been a part of my everyday routine for the past four years now suddenly aren’t and it’s weird because so much more lies ahead — yet it feels almost empty to wrap up high school,” the 17-year-old wrote in a post on her blog Material Girl. “Of course I’ll miss the friends that I’ve made and the family that makes up the drama department, but it’s really beautiful to be able to see all of the people I dearly love and care for, people that I grew up with for four years, go on and pursue their passions, whatever they may be, and find their place.”
Madonna briefly attended U of M in the ‘70s, but dropped out to pursue a career in dance, and eventually, music.
Congrats to Lourdes on her decision to Go Blue!
