U.S. World Cup Player Clint Dempsey To Release Rap Album?

Clint Dempsey may be at the World Cup playing as a member of the U.S. team, but it appears the soccer hero has another exciting event coming up this summer: the release of his debut rap album.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Dempsey spent two weeks in Los Angeles during the off-season recording a 13-track album, The Redux, and will release the project under his nickname Deuce. Speaking about Dempsey’s rap skills, friend Mike Chehadé said:

“I’m not saying he’s Eminem, but he’s definitely qualified.” The first single from The Redux, called “It’s Poppin’,” is streaming now.
