Plus-Size Models Pose In Recreation Of ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Cover

A new take on this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover shows a much more diverse variety of body types.

The photo features plus-size models Robyn Lawley, Jada Sezer, Shareefa J and fashion blogger Gabi Gregg, and comes as a part of a new swimwear calendar sponsored by the website Swimsuits For All.

Elements of the photo shoot, which E! News reports took place on the beaches of Turks and Caicos, were also captured in a promotional video entitled “Sexy at Every Curve.” In the two-minute clip, the models discuss why it’s important to celebrate all different shapes and sizes, especially in the media.

“I think it’s sad that the representatives of women in mainstream culture are usually so small just because we have such a diversity of sizes in the real world,” 27-year-old Gabi Gregg explains. “What happens is, I think, so many women see those girls and think they have to look like them. And I know plus-size models and bloggers, like myself, are really helping change that.”

The original SI Swimsuit cover, which was released in February, featured supermodels Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge and Chrissy Teigen.
