Rihanna may be in hot water with Instagram for posting risque photos but did her latest selfie venture get her in trouble with the law?

E! News reports that the 26-year-old singer was at a Clippers playoff game last weekend when she and Los Angeles Commission President Steve Soboroff decided to get a pic together.

Unfortunately, right after they snapped the photo, Rihanna had a bit of a blunder, accidentally dropping Soboroff’s phone on the court and cracking the screen!

But being the awesome chick that she is, the pop superstar then issued an apology in the form of a reported $25,000 donation to a fund for fallen LAPD officers, according to The Los Angeles Times.

“Sorry I broke your phone @SteveSoboroff :)” Rihanna later tweeted.

Meanwhile, the phone that Rihanna dropped, which she later autographed, is currently up for sale on  eBay, with all proceeds set to go to the LAPD Foundation. As of this morning, bids were being placed at over $10,000!

If such great things happened every time we broke the screen on our phones, we wouldn’t be so worried about it all the time!

What do you think about Rihanna’s latest charitable efforts? Sound off below!
