To get you pumped for this year’s Movement Electronic Music Festival Festival in Detroit, our very own DJ Ryan Richards will be hosting a series of special guest DJ sets on Friday nights for the next three weeks!
Tonight at 2am, you can hear an hour long set from Moby, followed by a set by Masters at Work at 3am.
Moby, who was a major player in the EDM movement in the early ‘90s, has continued to work successfully in the music industry over the past two decades, with eleven studio albums under his belt. He’s also written, produced and remixed projects for notable artists such as Michael Jackson, Daft Punk, Britney Spears, Metallica and more. Moby’s latest record, Innocents, dropped in 2013.
Also considered legends in the EDM genre are Masters at Work, who have turned out so many albums, singles, remixes and mixtapes over the last 20 years that it’s hard to even keep count! The duo consists of “Little” Louie Vega and Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez, who both hail from NYC, and the two have also made music together under the names MAW, KenLou, Sole Fusion, Hardrive, and Nuyorican Soul.
Both Moby and Masters at Work are former Movement artists and true icons!
So listen tonight to hear DJ Ryan Richards spin special DJ guest sets from Moby (2am-3am) and Masters at Work (3am-4am) only on 98-7 AMP Radio.
The Movement Electronic Music Festival Festival is set for Memorial Day Weekend (May 24 – 26) at Hart Plaza in Detroit!
