When it comes to getting celebrities to talk about their personal lives, it seems as though no interviewer is better than Ellen DeGeneres!
After weeks of silence, Mila Kunis finally opened up about her pregnancy on a recent episode of the talk show, though she remained coy on many of the details.
When Ellen asked when the actress was due, she answered, “Sometime this year. I promise you. It will be this year!” Kunis also revealed that she and fiancé Ashton Kutcher do know the baby’s gender and have a name picked out, and she is planning on having a natural birth without an epidural!
“I’m crazy. I mean, I did this to myself—I might as well do it right,” Kunis says. “I wanted this. It’s like, no one made me do this.”
Another thing that the Oz The Great and Power Star had no problem talking about was her pregnancy cravings, which include sauerkraut and pickles.
“It smells so bad…Vinegar based food, I guess, is what I’m craving,” which caused Ellen to guess she was having a boy (naturally, Mila wouldn’t confirm or deny!)
Luckily, fiancé Ashton Kutcher seems unbothered by the stinky foods and even predicted that’s what his bride-to-be would be craving.
“[Ashton] assumed that I was gonna have goofy cravings, so he stocked our secondary fridge with weird food,” the 30-year-old starlet said. “Just like pickles, and sauerkraut, or like anchovies, and ice creams, just in case at one point during this pregnancy I’d be like, ‘I really want something.’ And it happened last week. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I need a pickle!’ It was just the weirdest thing, like I needed this pickle. And he was like, ‘Hold on a second,’ and disappeared in the backyard and came back with the most amazing dill pickle of all time.”
Regarding how she and her former That 70s Show costar were able to keep their engagement a secret for so long, Kunis explained, “We were able to keep this private for two months—two months without anybody knowing. I think everybody assumed we’ve been engaged for so long that I was wearing the ring in public for two months and no photograph was ever…like nobody ever commented on a single photograph. Like…they just decided not to acknowledge it for two months. It was amazing.”
Congrats to Mila and Ashton!
