Is the world’s most notorious bachelor finally off the market?
Reports have surfaced that George Clooney has popped the question to Amal Alamuddin – a Lebanon-born British human rights attorney whom he’s been dating for less than a year.
According to E! News, Clooney (52) and Alamuddin (36) first stepped out together back in October and have kept their relationship relatively low-key since that time, though the pair did take a widely publicized trip to Tanzania in March and have since been spotted around New York and Los Angeles.
A source tells People that the couple became engaged “not that long ago” and that “they plan on being together forever.”
Despite his reputation as a forever bachelor, this will actually mark Clooney’s second marriage. The Monuments Man actor wed Talia Balsam in 1989, though the two called it quits in 1993.
Meanwhile, Clooney’s two year relationship with model Stacy Keibler ended last July, but the former couple are said to have parted on amicable terms.
As of now, a rep for Clooney has only stated, “I don’t comment on my client’s personal life,” according to People, so time will tell if the rumors are true.
