Get ready to hear some exclusive music from the World’s No. 1 DJ!
Tonight at 2am, tune into 98-7 AMP Radio to hear a special guest mix by Hardwell along with our very own DJ Ryan Richards!
Born Robbert van de Corput, the 26-year-old Netherlands native has been in the game for over a decade, but he first gained international recognition in the electro house/EDM scene when he dropped a bootleg version of the mashup “Show Me Love vs. Be” in 2009. Fast forward to 2014, and Hardwell could be found closing the Ultra Music Festival – one of the world’s largest electronic music festivals which take place annually in Miami.
Citing Tiesto as his greatest influence, Hardwell has turned out a ton of music over the past several years, releasing over 20 singles and dozens of remixes and bootlegs.
Hardwell also has an impressive repertoire of projects outside of being a lead artist, launching his own label, Revealed Recordings, in 2010, starting the podcast Hardwell on Air in 2011 and even releasing the documentary I AM HARDWELL – a film which chronicles his rise to fame over the past two and a half years.
The DJ/producer has become known for his close relationship with his fans, hosting a now-famous series of Q&A sessions on YouTube.
“With the opportunities of social media today, it’s super easy to be in direct contact with your fans, however it’s impossible to respond to each and everyone through Twitter or Facebook,” Hardwell explains on his official website. “That’s why I came up with this idea, to give my fans the opportunity to ask me their questions and to have the chance to answer them in a fun and engaging way!”
And clearly, Hardwell has gained quite a following, because this past year he received the ultimate honor when he was ranked No. 1 on DJ Magazine’s list of the Top 100 DJs, becoming the youngest artist in history to secure the coveted spot.
Hardwell has also been hard at work on his debut, full-length album, which is expected out sometime this year.
Currently in the midst of his North American Bus Tour, which also features Dannic and Dyro, Hardwell played the Lansing Center last weekend, and is set to perform in Kingston, Rhode Island and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania over the weekend.
For more on Hardwell, head to his official website and be sure to tune in TONIGHT at 2am to hear him exclusively on 98-7 AMP Radio!
