It’s been another crazy week in pop culture, so in case you missed anything, we’ve rounded up some of the most notable tweets and Instagram posts for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!

Miley and Avril Throw Down

At the beginning of the week, things between Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne got heated when the two began to battle over who was the more popular artist in Canada.

A video of the two pop superstars coming to blows backstage during one of Miley’s concerts in Toronto surfaced on the web, but it quickly became pretty clear that the whole thing was just prank.

April (or should we say Avril?) Fools!

Ed Sheeran Sings to Dying Fan in her Final Moments

In the most touching story of the week, Ed Sheeran called a dying fan to sing to her just minutes before she took her final breaths.

15-year-old Triona Priestley of Dublin had been fighting a life-long battle with cystic fibrosis, and her last wish was to hear Sheeran perform her favorite song “Little Bird.” Triona’s friends started an online campaign to help get her final request, which reached Sheeran’s manager and resulted in the singer’s call to the young fan.

Justin Bieber and Austin Mahone Enter the Studio

Fans began to buzz when photos of Justin Bieber, Austin Mahone and members of the YMCMB crew hit Instagram this week, with Bieber and Birdman hinting that the group was working on some new music.

Meanwhile, Austin Mahone, who turns 18 today (April 4), announced that his debut, full-length album The Secret is due out on May 27!

Mother Monster Looks Unrecognizable on ‘Porter Magazine’ Cover

Lady Gaga loves to try out new styles, but her simple, yet glamorous look on the cover of Porter Magazine this month may be one of our favorites ever from Mother Monster!

The “G.U.Y.” singer also partnered with the fashion mag for a behind-the-scenes video, in which she discusses sexuality and how it plays into her career as an artist. Watch it here.

Drake Disses Ariana Grande, One Direction, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber

Fans of One Direction, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande were not too happy this week when former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell slammed the artists during a controversial interview with Buzzfeed.

In the article, Bell expressed his distaste for the stars’ cliquey fan bases and stated that the artists should take more responsibly when their supporters bully others on social media.

Bell also had some strong words to say about Ariana Grande, whom he allegedly claimed hasn’t been able to appreciate her fame and success because it was more or less handed to her.

The 27-year-old actor later took to Twitter to deny that he dissed Grande:

Katy Perry Celebrates ‘Birthday’

Miss Katy Perry revealed on Thursday (April 3) that the next single off of her latest album Prism will be… “Birthday”!

Predictably, the singer make the announcement in a truly unique way by posting a Throwback Thursday photo of her sister Angela and herself on Twitter, but blurred out her sis’s face.

“IF you would like to see my sisters amazing face/pose get #BIRTHDAY trending to the top & I will UNLOCK the genius with you…” Katy teased.

Needless to say, the genius was eventually unlocked!
