Backstreet’s back, alright!

The iconic boy band has just announced plans for a summer tour alongside fellow pop superstar Avril Lavigne, and the show will make a stop in Detroit in June.

The “In a World Like This” tour first launched in 2013 and due to high demand from diehard BSB fans, will continue with over thirty international shows this year. Though the Backstreet Boys recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, it doesn’t seem as though the famous fivesome is planning on slowing down anytime soon.

“This has been an amazing year!” Nick Carter stated in the official press release. “So much has happened and it just keeps on going. It’s amazing for all five of us to see and feel this kind of response! How can we not come back and show our incredible fans this show?!”

“We really wanted to put together a great show and do our best to give everyone their money’s worth,” added Brian Littrell. “Avril is an unbelievably talented artist who’s a perfect fit to make these shows extra special for our fans.”

The Backstreet Boys and Avril Lavigne are set to play at the DTE Energy Music Theatre on June 17.
