Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello to Give Away His Size Records Catalog for Free

By Scott T. Sterling

With the individual members of Swedish House Mafia resuming their solo careers after the unexpected break-up of the EDM super-group in 2013, Steve Angello has announced that he’ll be giving away more than 170 songs from over 80 artists on his Size Records imprint for free via Google Play.

According to the Ottawa Citizen, the #Decade campaign launches today (March 7) with the first 10 free tracks. Additional tunes will be rolled out over the coming weeks, with the last batch to coincide with Miami Music Week and the Ultra Music Festival later this month.

“I don’t think that music should always be for free, but I think if there’s stuff that can be done the way we’ve done it now, I think labels should give it a try,” Angello said of the campaign.
