Millions tuned in to watch the Oscars last night, but even the most meticulous eye can sometimes miss a few details during a three-and-a-half hour awards show, so we’ve broken down some of the evening’s best moments!

Best Dressed

Structured gowns were the name of the game at last night’s Oscars, and many of Hollywood’s starlets wore them well.

Still, it was the ever-stunning Charlize Theron in her black Christian Dior haute couture gown that took home best-dressed for us.  Is it really fair for a human being to be as beautiful as Charlize?

Best Performance

Pink and Idina Menzel both gave beautiful performances yesterday evening, but it was Pharrell Williams who really got the crowd up and moving (and shimmying, in Meryl Streep’s case) with his rendition of “Happy” from Despicable Me 2.

Funniest Bit From The Host

Per usual, Ellen DeGeneres put a smile on the faces of many as last night’s MC, but her best moment was easily when she ordered pizzas for the starving artists (get it?) in the crowd.

The two-time Oscar host then kept the bit going when she walked around with Pharrell’s now-iconic hat to collect money for the food, even pocketing a few tips for herself in the process.

Most Viral Moment

This was an easy one! Not only did this star-studded selfie break the record for most-retweeted photo of all-time, it also broke Twitter itself for a short time!

Featuring the likes of Bradly Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Jared Leto, Meryl Streep, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Lupita Nyong’o, Kevin Spacey, Channing Tatum, Julia Roberts and of course, Ellen, it’s really not surprising! Best photo ever? Probably.

Best Speech

Last night, Jared Leto scored his first-ever Academy Award for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, and as Best Supporting Actor, he kicked off the evening’s speeches.

Beginning with a touching story about his mom, who also happened to be his date, Leto continued on to pay tribute to AIDS victims, those who are suffering in the Ukraine and members of the LGBT community. Beautiful, touching and very well said!

Most Awkward Moment

There were a few of these throughout the night, but it was probably John Travolta’s flub of Idina Menzel’s name that took the cake!

While presenting the Frozen actress’s performance of “Let It Go,” Travolta introduced her as “Adela Dazeem.” Must have been the teleprompter…

Of course, “Adela Dazeem” now has her own Twitter account.

Best Tribute

Unlikely duo Amy Adams and Bill Murray introduced the nominees for this year’s Achievement in Cinematography award and Murray snuck in an impromptu tribute to his late Ghostbusters co-star, Harold Ramis, who passed away last week.

Not sure if Bill will get into any trouble for that one, but we’re going to guess that the Academy will let it slide!

Favorite Win

While many had Jennifer Lawrence pegged to win Best Supporting Actress for the second year in a row, it was newcomer Lupita Nyong’o’s moving performance in 12 Years a Slave that landed her the award.

Looking like a princess in a beautiful baby blue gown, the gorgeous actress took the stage looking shocked, though she was still able to make a moving and gracious speech. We can’t wait to see more from Lupita!
