Throughout her career, Anna Kendrick has been able to show off her powerhouse voice as well as her acting chops.
The petite 28-year-old started in show business by appearing on Broadway at the age of 12 and has gone on to sing for the President of the United States, and land atop the Billboard charts with her Pitch Perfect-inspired hit, “Cups.”
Kendrick also has three music-based movies coming out this year, which include Into The Woods, The Last Five Years and Pitch Perfect 2.
So with everything going so well, why does the lovable actress feel the need to quit singing?
Answer: because she just wants to drink a beer!
“I never want to sing again, honestly. It’s hard as f–k,” Kendrick told The Wrap in a recent interview. “The ‘Pitch Perfect’ [sequel] is going to be fine, ten girls have to be able to sing the songs so it’s going to be fine, but doing ‘The Last Five Years’ and then ‘Into the Woods’ straight away, I was like, I don’t want to have to think about my voice so much. I want to be able to drink beer whenever I want.”
While Kendrick says she couldn’t really turn down the chance to work on such amazing projects as Into The Woods and The Last Five Years, it sounds like she has no plans to do another musical anytime soon.
However, we could probably expect to find her celebrating at a local bar or brewery when those movies wrap!
