The music world has been lacking a bit on brotherly love since the breakup of the Jonas Brothers last year, but worry not, because AJR could fix all of that.
The trio, which consists of brothers Adam (22), Jack (15) and Ryan (19), hit the scene in 2007 and have slowly but surely been making a name for themselves around New York City.
The bio on their official Facebook page notes that the currently unsigned group is “Self produced” and “recorded in their living room,” and cities artists such as fun., One Republic, Macklemore and Bruno Mars as influences.
Their debut single, “I’m Ready,” boasts a reggae-indie pop vibe and also samples Spongebob Squarepants…so it’s automatically pretty awesome.
Ironically, the song’s music video revolves around how a band can go viral in today’s tech and social media-heavy world, and as the video has racked up over 680,000 hits since its release last fall, we’d say AJR is well on their way!
