U of M – Flint Student Selling Ad Space To Pay For College

Graduating college is a big deal, but there is a down side to it all: student loan bills! Alex Benda a University of Michigan-Flint student is hoping to cut down on those bills by selling ad space on his graduation cap.

Yup, you heard it right. The 22-year-old International Business major split the top of his 10-inch by 10-inch graduation cap into 100 tiny squares. He’s hoping to sell each square for $300 to completely pay off his $30,000 student loan debt.

He has already sold $1,200 worth of ad space on crowd-sourcing website gogetfunding.com. His only rule for the ads is to avoid crude and offensive material. The guy is an entrepreneur and loves out of the box thinking to solve everyday problems.
