Lorde’s “Royals”Gets 30-Something Parody

They say imitation is one of the highest forms of flattery, so parody can’t be that far behind. While Lorde is up for a number of GRAMMY awards this year, now we can say she’s definitely made it with a parody of her song, “Royals” burning up YouTube.

Lorde is up for a number of GRAMMY awards this year and now she’s landed the people’s award: a parody of her song “Royals” is burning up the charts on YouTube.

Using the stage name “Borde,” Los Angeles-based improv actor Molly Dworsky has re-worked the chart-topping hit as an anthem for anyone in their 30s and beyond.

“Borde” longs for the carefree times of high school as she laments that “adulthood’s nothing like the tales in the movies” in her performance. Watch below.
