Salvation Army Bell Ringer Attacked After Saying What?

You see them every year during the Holidays. Out in the cold, devoting time to ring that little bell next to the red bucket to raise money. It’s a sad day when stuff like this starts happening…

A Salvation Army bell ringer was attacked after she said “Happy Holidays” to a woman instead of “Merry Christmas.”

The bell ringer  said a woman approached her and she thought she was going to make a donation. Instead the woman asked the worker if she believed in God, then said, ‘You’re supposed to say Merry Christmas,’ and that’s when she hit the victim.

Police said they reviewed surveillance footage at the store but there wasn’t enough evidence to arrest the supposed attacker.

Salvation Army representatives reported that the organization does not have a policy regarding whether its ringers should say “Merry Christmas” or Happy Holidays.”
