Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! I LOVE all the flavors of fall. I also love watching the big Thanksgiving Day football games!
Over in Texas, it was just announced that the Grand Prairie native, Selena Gomez will be the halftime show for the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game against the Oakland Raiders! Watching the Cowboys is part of Selena’s Thanksgiving tradition.
“I’m so excited to be here,” Gomez said at the announcement Sunday of her halftime show at AT&T Stadium, which will kick off the Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle campaign. “I’m from Texas, so I’m a little nervous, I’m not going to lie. But I’m very honored and I hope that we come — me, my dancers and my band — and we give Texas a really good show and I make them proud.”
Here in Detroit, the Lions will host the Green Bay Packers. That’s going to be a GREAT game! Instead of Detroit brining a big name arist for their halftime show, they’re taking a more community based approach. The Lions, United Way and Playworks joined together for “Meet Up and Eat Up” with the Lions this fall to help educate Detroit Public School children and the others about the importance of active play and eating fresh.
Catch Selena Gomez on Tuesday Nov. 26th at The Palace! Tickets are still available for that show..
