Roxanne’s Maroon 5 Recap!

I was so lucky to get tickets last night to see Maroon 5 at DTE. I’ve never seen them in concert or Kelly Clarkson, and I’ve been a fan of both since the beginning. It was an amazing show!!

Kelly Clarkson’s voice soared and she was so charming on stage. She came out barefoot and shared with us how she had a date with her man last night and wore heels, and she couldn’t bare to do it again tonight! During the middle of her set the sound went out. Like a true professional Kelly kept singing obviously hoping it would kick back on but it didn’t. It took them like 10 minutes to fix then she came back out and joked with the crowd on how “Walk Away” is one of her favorite songs so she did it again. LOVED LOVED LOVED her show!

Then came Maroon 5! (insert screams) On stage Adam Levine is even more sexy!! The way he shakes his ass in his tight jeans was the best! He’s like the ultimate rockstar! Adam has some chops too. His voice sounded amazing! They did all their hits and a couple covers, Prince ‘I Wanna Be Your Lover” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.”

I was hoping Adam would take his shirt off!! He teased us a few times and lifted it up. We know he loves to be naked! Ladies I found this yummy picture!

I’ve seen a lot of concerts in my lifetime. What I really enjoyed about this show was how both Kelly Clarkson and Maroon 5 got back to the basics. Pure singing. No flashy stage set up or back-up dancers and millions of outfit changes. Kelly had a few she’s a girl, but not every other song if you know what I mean. It was about the music, the band, and the songs we all know and love to sing. They both really interacted with the crowd a lot, and as a fan you felt embraced. I feel like that’s rare these days…

I did get a chance to go backstage and meet Maroon 5!! It was quick as most of these meet and greets are. I got to touch Adam Levine and tell the band how much I love them! That’s all I wanted to do anyway. I’m the girl super happy in the sunglasses with my friend Tracey. Look Adam loved us!
