Rapper Mos Def’s Act Of Protest..

This is some crazy stuff! Don’t know how familiar you are with the Guantanamo Bay prisoner situation in Cuba but it’s a hot mess! As Ramadan begins, more than 100 hunger-strikers in Guantánamo Bay continue their protest. More than 40 of them are being force-fed. A leaked document sets out the military instructions, or standard operating procedure, for force-feeding detainees.

Yasiin Bey, the actor and activist formerly known as Mos Def, submitted to the type of force-feeding imposed on hunger strikers at Guantanamo Bay. The Brooklyn-born entertainer joined with the human rights group Reprieve to demonstrate what the hunger strikers are enduring at the U.S. military lockup. The demonstration was videotaped and posted online Monday.

Warning this video is not for the weak stomach.

What are your thoughts on Guantanamo Bay? Do you think this video will make a difference?
