Lil Wayne Addresses Health Issues & Retirement On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

On Tuesday night (June 12), Lil Wayne made a belated and surprisingly good-humored appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Belated because, as Kimmel points out at the top of the interview, Wayne was supposed to appear last year and canceled (to which the rapper said, “honestly, I really don’t know what happened”). Then Weezy was scheduled for the program in March, to support to release of his album I Am Not A Human Being 2, but was hospitalized for seizures related to epilepsy.

“May I ask what happened to you?” Kimmel said, “Because I think we were worried that you were going to die. Did you know that everyone thought you were going to die?”

The very question made Wayne laugh almost uncontrollably, as he said he did not know that.

It was the first of many fits of laughter for Wayne, who was in probably the best humor he’s ever been in for an interview. Like, ever. In the history of interviews.
