Daft Punk Release ‘Collaborators’ Video Featuring Giorgio Moroder

Daft Punk, who recently announced a May 21 release date for Random Access Memories, have unveiled a new video on their official website that gives a taste of what to expect from the new album, including audio snippets of new track “Get Lucky.”

Under the heading of “The Collaborators,” the eight-minute clip is an interview with revered dance music pioneer Giorgio Moroder, who worked on the record (in addition to Chic leader Nile Rodgers and other rumored guests). Famous for producing dance floor hits like Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” and Blondie’s “Call Me,” Moroder discusses how he initially got into music, his discovery of the synthesizer and the first time he heard a Daft Punk song, with the producer stating that 2000 single “One More Time” is his top song from the helmet-wearing duo.
