One Direction To Film 3D Movie In Tokyo

One Direction are redefining the word globetrotter. After some downtime during the holidays, the boys headed to Ghana to volunteer with U.K. charity Comic Relief.

A visit that has had a major impact on the band, both Harry and Niall took to Twitter to reveal their awakening experience and urge fans to get involved.

While the band was spending their time volunteering, filmmaker Morgan Spurlock was scouting locations for their forthcoming 3D concert film. Combining footage from their sold-out Madison Square Garden show last month as well as their sold-out World Tour in the UK, the filming will begin this weekend in Tokyo.

Morgan alerted fans on Twitter about his trip and we can’t help but wonder if any One Direction robots will make their way into the film.

One Direction’s 3D concert film will be released August 30, 2013.
