For the grand finale of  X Factor season 2, FOX pulled out all the glitz and glamour kicking the show off with a “red carpet” arrival and performances. It was kind cheesey wasn’t it?!?!  Khloe  Kardashian who struggles with being good next to smooth operator Mario Lopez, was really on my nerves last night! Did she really need to change her outfit 10 times through out the show?!?!?  Nobody cares what you wear Khloe, or at least I don’t.  What I did love was the beautiful Christmas theme X Factor went with.  From the decorations, and music…. it was all very festive!

So who landed the $5 million dollar record deal.. (drum roll please) Mr. Country Tate Stevens!  I was totally shocked.  I’m not a fan. He’s talented and always gave solid performances, and I can appreciate that. But for me because I’m not a country fan, he wasn’t anything special. Just being honest.

Tate’s mentor L.A. Reid had this to say about his champion! “First of all, he presented himself well and he sings really well. But (he’s) also a real lovable human being. It was the whole him supporting the family, the family supporting him. It was like the American Dream,” he said. “The first time I saw him I said this guy’s an American classic, an authentic, true-to-life country singer. And I think all those things sort of resonated with the Tate Nation that voted for him.”

I would of loved to have seen Britney’s teen  Carly Rose Sonenclar win, but it comes down to votes and I guess she didn’t get enough.  Carly Rose is still so young,  and I know that we will hear her on the radio one day.    I wasn’t surprised to see Fifth Harmony come in third.  But like Simon Cowell said, these girls will be fine and we will hear from them again.  One Direction who performed last night didn’t win X Factor when they were on the show so enough said……  Pitbull also performed last night singing his new single “Don’t Stop The Party.”

Congratulation to Tate Stevens! It’s not easy to get passed auditions let alone win it all!!
