Detroit is one of the most culturally diverse city in the country.  A part that makes Metro Detroit so unique is the influence each culture has had on the food in the area.  With all of the options to each from in the area, there are so many things that set us aside from other cities.  But what one thing you love to eat make you think of this great city?

Yahoo has an article up that talks about the different cultures that make up Metro Detroit, and it showcases the five foods that really shows off just how diverse the city is.  The article talks about Middle Eastern food and Polish food along with Jewish food and Ethiopian food.  While these are all influential, Buck and Coop think of different things when they think of Detroit.

Coop said he instantly thinks of Slow’s BBQ downtown.  Coop is an admitted “bbq snob,” and will only eat certain bbq, and he loves going back to Slow’s as much as he can!  Buck on the other hand, thinks of coney dogs when he thinks of Detroit.  Buck has been all around the country for his job in radio, and it’s one of the things that stands out the most for one of the most important foods to the city.

Whether you love the food at Greektown, or even Mexican Villiage, what makes you think of Detroit when it comes to food?  Read the Yahoo article by going to Yahoo.com
