Detroit Voters Elect 8x Ex-Con As State Representative

I know election day was Tuesday and you are probably sick and tired of hearing about voting, candidates and those obnoxious TV ads. Well I figured you might want this little nugget of information from the results on Tuesday.

Detroit has elected an ex-con to the state House of Representatives. Democrat Brian Banks won 68% of the vote to be elected state representative. The 35-year-old Banks was convicted eight times between 1998 and 2004 of writing bad checks and credit card fraud.

Honestly, I have no problem with this choice. Do you really think after all the Kwame Kilpatrick mess someone would actually try to do something shady?
